Sara & Erin Visit
2011

Sisters
The kids splashed in the TINY pool until they were blue and shivering.
Mike made sure they had plenty of fresh COLD hose water.

They were not excited to get out.

They played with toys until we ate dinner.
We ate a lot of dinner.

We laughed.

The kids ate blue frosted cupcakes while
we ate ice cream.
That is NOT Erin's Blue Moon, by the way.
Mom bathed the hoodlums and Sara and I had a breather
on Erin's bed.
That is a vintage Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag in case you were interested.

We rescued Gramma Betty and then Erin decided she
should comb AJ's hair.

Cheese!

Here Comes the Sun...

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

We Got Our Hairs Cut

Karen over at the Final Cut did us up for AJ's big day at church on Sunday. He sat in the chair all by himself for the first time. He did great. I decided it was time for a change and went overboard on the highlights. No more gray! In fact, no more brown, either. But it's summer, so what they hay.

Please ignore the stuff on my dresser. Yes, I wear polka dot PJ pants and a t-shirt that says "Hayward, WI" that I got in 1986. You don't?

Warm Night at the Commons

The weather is really whacko around here. In the previous post, you can see AJ wearing a JACKET. The next night or so it was warm enough to play in the fountain and wear shorts and sweat. Whacko.

Me and Mine.

AJ watered the plants.

He caught water in a cup.

Jiggity- Jig

WATER!

Cool Night at the Commons

We went to the Schaumburg Commons/Town Square area over by the library. We were searching for baby ducks. There weren't any there, sadly, but there was other fun stuff to do on a chilly evening.

"Where ducks, Daddy?"

"They here?"

AJ looking in the fountain. Too cold to play in the water tonight.

But never too cold for ice cream with Daddy!

The boys shared.
